I have a little bit of everything on my Amazon Prime Day shopping list.
Books. Christmas decor. Cute tablecloths and curtains. Jeans.
Apparently, I am preparing to decorate a house, host dinner, and have somewhere to wear pants. Seems reasonable.
But my main goal? Shop smarter so I can check a few things off my list without buying a bunch of stuff I never needed in the first place.

Before I start scrolling, I like to think about the things I’ve already been meaning to buy.
Maybe there’s a room that needs curtains.
Maybe my Christmas stash has a few gaps. (Garland Hanger)
Maybe I need jeans that don’t have buttons and feel like sweatpants (just bought 1 and 2 on sale for under $30!) Also LOVE these wide leg pants that I also bought 🤣
This new purchase makes me sleep in my bed like a little mole buried in a hole in the winter. (Is that good? It’s supposed to be good)
Those are the things I want to look for first. (Of course, here is the splurge I REALLY want on sale)
Because I have had my eye on things and practiced MAJOR self-restraint, so I must need a reward when its on sale.
Christmas decor is where I have the MOST fun.
Before shopping, I want to look at what I already have and figure out what would help pull it together.
Ribbon to finish a tree? Ornaments in a color I need more of? A garland for that one spot I keep meaning to decorate?
I’m looking for pieces that have a job.
I especially love anything I can use more than one way. Napkins, Placemats or Kitchen Towel. Ribbon that works on a tree and a gift. Candleholders I can use at Christmas and throughout the year. Pieces that work with my existing decor instead of requiring an entirely new collection.
The goal is to make decorating easier when the holidays arrive.
These are the things I’m looking for when a holiday table room needs a little something, but I’m not planning a full makeover.
A tablecloth or festive napkin can bring pattern and personality to the table without needing a whole new set of dishes. I love the idea of finding one I can use for everyday dinners and leave out for the holidays.
And curtains? I’m looking for something that adds softness and feels right with the rest of the room. Love these- they look SO high end and are on sale!!!
Before adding anything to my cart, I want to check measurements, fabric details, and how many panels are included.

I’m checking the price, the details, and the return policy before buying.
Then I’m asking one last question: Would I still want this if there wasn’t a sale sign attached?
If it fills a need, makes life easier, or brings a little personality into my home or closet, it’s worth considering.
Or is a FANTASTIC price and usually is not.
