Most days, I’m just handling business—no makeup, just getting things done.
But then, SHAZAM!
Some days feel like a dream come true!
This week is one of those: I’m being featured shopping at the Round Top Texas Antique Show for an article in Country Home magazine! Find my Free Ultimate Guide to Roundtop here.
Imagine strolling through one of the most famous antique fairs in the world, handpicking treasures, and brainstorming finds with an editor and a photographer in tow. That’s exactly what my week looked! Shopping my heart out, camera clicking away, and getting to do what I love—it doesn’t get better than this.
Of course, just when I might start feeling a little fancy, reality steps in to keep me grounded. While we were in the middle of the shoot, one of the vendors noticed the cameras and asked why they were there. When our photographer explained the article and why they were following me, she looked him straight in the eye and said:
“AM I SUPPOSED TO KNOW WHO SHE IS?”
I was just a few feet away, browsing, and I almost burst out laughing.
No, girl, you’re not supposed to know who I am!
Most days, I’m here in a tank top, jeans, and sneakers, haggling for the best price on a vintage silver trophy.
Today, I just happen to have curled hair, a spray tan, and someone taking pictures of my lunch.
This experience made me appreciate Round Top, Texas even more. It’s a place where everyone—whether a collector, a vendor, or a first-time visitor—can come together over a shared love for unique treasures. The Round Top Texas Antique Show is one of the biggest flea markets in the country, featuring over 100 vendors offering rare antiques, furniture, and collectibles.
If you’re planning a trip, finding the right place to stay is key.

Whether you’re visiting for a day or making it a weekend getaway, there are plenty of options to rest after a full day of treasure hunting.
