I kept seeing these amazing succulent pumpkin centerpieces pop up everywhere and thought, “Surely this can’t be too difficult!” And guess what—it wasn’t. With just a few supplies and a little creativity, I was able to pull together a festive DIY Thanksgiving centerpiece that looks high-end but is totally doable at home.
Here’s how I made the DIY Succulent Pumpkin Centerpiece
Step One: I picked up a faux pumpkin, a block of dry floral foam, some moss, and a selection of flowers and greenery. Faux pumpkins are great because they last year after year, and you don’t have to worry about them rotting before your big dinner.

Step Two: Using a kitchen knife, I carefully cut a hole in the top of the pumpkin, just large enough to fit the block of foam inside.

Step Five: My favorite part—adding the flowers and greenery!
I tucked them in one by one, playing with different angles and heights until the pumpkin looked full and lush.
The best part is that there are no rules—just keep layering until it feels right to you.
