People usually have strong opinions about Valentine’s day- they either love it or they hate it!
(Some kind of murmurings of a holiday manufactured by retail stores comes to mind…but not from me!)
While most of us don’t want to deck our house from head to toe with cupids and hearts, there are some subtle additions to make things more festive!
-Replace your couch pillows and throw blanket with red and pink ones. (Raid your tween daughter’s room- she has lots of pink!)

-Put a cute wreath on the door to welcome your love ones.

-Make or buy a garland that spells “Love”.

-Spice up the kitchen table with fresh pink and red tulips.
-Declare your love on a chalk board or dry erase board.
-Collect an assortment of red vases on your mantel.
-Set out red and pink candles in mason jars.
-Celebrate your valentine! Get those wedding pictures out and put them in a red or pink frame.
-Spell out “Love” and frame it on the wall. This one lasts all year!
Using these simple ideas can make your home both festive and LOVELY!
