I don’t ONLY do residential design. I love Airbnb’s, restaurants, shops and the like! So when I got a call to complete a neighborhood multi-purpose community center design,
my first question was “where and when!?”.
My second question is what functions does this space need to meet?
The answer was threefold:
It needed to be a space for gathering, hosting parties, and accommodating office work. With this in mind, I set out to create a design that seamlessly integrates all these requirements.
To meet the office work needs, I focused on designing a small office room. So we gathered matching desks in the small office room. Matching desks were selected to create an organized and cohesive working environment.
Next used the larger space for gathering, with tables, chairs, bookcases, and an extra area for enlarging the party space.

By utilizing the larger space for gatherings, we were able to allocate ample room for tables, chairs, bookcases, and even an additional area for expanding the party space. This thoughtful allocation of space ensures versatility while maintaining an inviting atmosphere.

Turning a community center into a dynamic space for parties, meetings, and more helps create a practical space that meets multiple needs- win-win for everyone!
The clients were pleased and the space is already being put to good use.
With some out-of-the-box thinking, we can craft spaces that easily adjust to the ever-changing needs of a community.
