Creating an Airbnb in the Heart of Downtown Dallas
In honor of Texas Independence Day today, March 2 (celebrating 183 years since Texas declared itself free from Mexican rule and established the Republic of Texas–yes, our state is the only state to have previously been a republic), I’d love to show you a fun design project I completed for a travel company in an Uptown Dallas high rise. Guests at this Airbnb property get a colorful take on un-traditional Texas decor!

I wanted whimsical Texana to welcome guests from the first view. How’d I do? See some ideas you’d like to steal?
Rustic touches and a bold color scheme make for a very playful space! Shucks, I added more fun features than you can shake a stick at!
Such as: this chalked text of “Deep in the Heart of Texas” in the bathroom. Just a little ol’ inspiration for singing in the shower.
Cowboy hats, cacti, antlers and a cold brew. Why, all we needed was…views of the growing edge of Uptown Dallas. And what do you know–we have them!
