But here’s the practical bonus (in case your husband needs convincing this is a priority): with planned new storage and a mental picture of what fabulous looks like, cleaning up will be quicker and easier than ever. Even the kids will want to get in on it!
The large windows let lots of sunshine into my client’s nursery, so the navy accent wall is not overpowering. And look how it sets off the hot pinks and white of the furniture! (Psst–we even painted the ceiling hot pink! Sassy!)
Presto, change-o! Paint is your cheapest decorating tool! With pretty pink paint, inexpensive molding and new knobs, this ho-hum chest became a showstopper.

Sister’s room likewise got a makeover with soft aqua walls and a deeper blue ceiling to cozy up the space. The furniture was fine, it just needed a little ooh-la-la in accessories to sweeten it up and tie the pink and blue together.
