When you step across the threshold at home, what feelings do you have? What feelings would you LIKE to have? Would you have any problem with a home that feels inviting, cozy, peaceful–even fun? I wouldn’t!
What’s the thing at home that’s gnawing at you and blocking a sense of peace and relaxation? Is it the blah walk-up to your door? The mishmash of furniture and dated decor in the family room? The ho-hum-bed-in-a-bag bedroom? I hear you, and I have lots of experience with Sad Be Gone both in my own home and those of my clients. And I love it when we can bring in the happy!
AN INVITING HOME
From porch plants to door decor to welcome mat, the approach to your home gives guests a message. Is it a welcoming one?
The welcome mat is obviously out in my client’s lakeside home. The sunny foyer with its stylish console and lamps and graphics of the smiling daughters say, “We’re glad you’re here. Come in!” Does your entryway need a facelift? More sunlight from a new door? New paint, art or rug? I have ideas!
A COZY, WARM HOME
Velvet upholstery, soft throws, pillows and rugs, and an upholstered ottoman instantly warm a room. They invite everyone to get cozy, put their feet up and stay a while. Popcorn, anyone? (Candles–the glow AND the scent–also contribute to your home’s coziness.)
Does your home lack warmth? What could we do about that?
A PEACEFUL HOME
You start and end your day here: what better place to evoke a sense of peace than in your master bath? From “adequate-but-dated”, my client’s master bath is now a serene and soothing oasis.
The white shaker vanity, the marble hex tile, the luxe mirrors and sconces…all the colors, styles and finishes we chose contribute to this now-peaceful space!

A FUN HOME
A playroom/sleepover room at Grandma’s? What better place for the fun factor?
Creative use of color (like on the ceiling, maybe?) brings in the whimsy, you betcha!
“Mom, I wanna go to Grandma’s!”
No one would argue that a pool isn’t fun. What about the pool bath? Yeah, that too!
We chose fun patterned floor tiles, concrete counters, and some textured subway wall tiles for this hardworking space. When things are scrubbable, you can all relax and have FUN!
Just grab your cabana-stripe towel and go do a belly flop!
I am passionate about partnering with people to quiet the design chaos around them, so we can focus on creating the space that feels authentically “them”.
