“Mirror, mirror, on the wall…”
It’s not only in fairy tales that mirrors are magic. Used to advantage, they can pull off some pretty magical effects in your home! Let me show you some examples from my clients’ homes.
Mirrors lend their sparkle to a gallery wall. (Have you noticed starburst mirrors everywhere?)
Sure, you need a mirror over a dresser, but not just ANY mirror! By all means bring in some wow factor with a stylish shape and frame.
But, hey, let’s don’t relegate bedroom mirrors to over the dresser only. These stunningly-shaped mirrors bounce light all over this colorful bedroom.
What a lovely contrast between the stone of this accent wall and the gleam of the mirror! (While the mirror has the starring role over the buffet, the supporting cast of candlesticks flanking it tie in the room colors and help the mirror make an even bigger statement!)
There are vanity mirrors, and then there are VANITY MIRRORS. We perfectly paired the formality and scale of the Wedgewood-style mirror with the antique vanity table.
Formal not in your wheelhouse, though? Problem solved with this cheerful farm-fresh version of sunburst mirror. Where would you use this one? Breakfast nook? Powder room? Over the mantle? Yes!
How have you used mirrors, whether solo or in concert with other elements in your decor, to bring magic to your interiors?
I love using mirrors all around the house.
Can you think of some ways to brighten your spaces with mirrors? I can! And I’d love to help you!
