That holiday to-do list can be pretty daunting, right? After you’ve rushed around doing All The Things, I hope you come home to some welcoming and comfortable settings in your home. So, let’s create Christmas decor that feels COZY. How? Well, just read on!
A few holiday-themed pillows, or simply those that are super textural–like faux fur, flannel or a sweater knit–really add a cozy, snuggle-up atmosphere to your rooms.
I like to fill in with solid and striped pillows, then accent with the special Christmas ones.
Your decor may not be traditional red and green like mine, but I can guarantee that you will find holiday pillows in every color and for every style out there! From neutrals to pastels to bold modern colors, holiday pillows abound, so pick up a few and create some cozy seating around your home!
You don’t have to completely redo your bedroom or make your bed with a Santa print comforter to convert it to holiday style–that is, unless you want to! But to carry a cozy Christmas theme into my bedroom, I simply added a red chunky knit throw and a “Merry” pillow! The red along with the green of the swiss cross pillows repeats the colors in my headboard garland. And–done!
In my son’s room, pillows on the bed again did the trick, bringing playful Christmas spirit into his bedroom.
What could be more soothing after a tiring day of Christmas shopping than retiring to a room lit with the soft glow of twinkle lights?
“You put lighted trees in your bedrooms??” Yes. Yes, I do.
And I encourage you to put one in your bedroom, too, because it really does cozy up your space! Now, where else around your home could you add some holiday glow?
Ah, the bath, maybe?
Talk about comfort and joy! A soaking bath in the glimmer of candlelight (your favorite holiday scent)! Afterward, why, just jump into some cozy winter pj’s, turn on a Christmas movie, and leave that to-do list for another day!
