We all have that spot in our house. The one that stumps us. The one that has such potential, but when we try to “do” something with it, we blank.
Maybe its a bare coffee table.
Or a wall that is screaming for an unique conversation piece and you have settled for a Hobby Lobby stand in.
Or, perhaps its some idea you are trying to recreate from Pinterest, and its falling flat.
Where ever it is, we know it could look so much better, and when we walk by, we turn our face because we are just not sure what to do with it, and it stresses us out.
This weekend is The Antique Fair in Roundtop/Warrenton.
The place that First Monday in Canton dreams to be when it grows up.
The location of the Junk Gypsy headquarters, Rachel Ashwell/Shabby Chic’s Home and the subject of many-a-news story and article.
Yeah, its that Antique Show that the Huffington Post is referencing when it boldly states,
Yeah, its that big.
Think of whole towns, side by side, that are brim full of every decor item you could ever think of for two weeks. The best of the best furniture stores, boutiques, mom and pop shops on the square and antique dealers are all set up for business, all in one location.
For people like you and me, its pretty much heaven.
So, why is it a great time to be you, you ask? (Other than your general fabulousness? That’s a given).
Because I want to help you solve that pesky design dilemma, and I happen to be going to Roundtop to shop for you.
Yes, the hotel is purchased, the car is fueled, and I offering a very limited number of people a personal shopping service specifically for Roundtop.
But Courtney, how does this great service work?
1. Email me and tell me what dilemma you are needing to solve or send me a photo. I will ask you a few questions and we will discuss your budget for this space- it can be a little as $20 or much more!
2. While I am there, I will look for the solution and purchase it for you. This will be the exciting part– you will have told me your parameters and then will leave the rest up to me! The fee for this service will be based on an hourly rate, depending on how long it take me to find it), but will be capped at two hours. Which is much cheaper than a road trip!
3. Enjoy all the time and money you have saved by not taking a weekend trip to Roundtop. Do something fun instead, like basking in the glow of new items in your house, or bobbing for apples* with your family.
*obligatory autumn reference. Who really does this? I do not want to dip my face in water of other people’s spit-water and disconnect my jaw trying to bite an apple. I need some Purrell just thinking about it. Plus, I like my apples doused in caramel.
So, Courtney, what does my fee get me?
1. Access to a wonderland of original items that can only be purchased at Roundtop
2. Advise for that home trouble spot
3. A personal shopper (read:solution!) for my biggest decorating dilemma
4. A burst of creativity and uniqueness and in my home (sorry Kirklands-Hobby Lobby-Target)
5. The satisfaction of people ohhhhing over a really cool new piece
6. The fun of knowing you spent NO TIME on something that is giving you such happy feelings inside.
And, if I am so inclined, I might even throw in a caramel apple. But the Purrell is on you.
Wanna join the cuteness? Respond soon, as its first come, first serve and spots are filling up!
Not sure? Email me and let’s talk about your dilemma and see if Roundtop is the right fit for you.
